This was a final project for an art class. This was supposed to be a reaction piece to the work of a visiting artist, and I was inspired by Libby Rowe’s series titled “Pink”.
This series is related to womanhood, her experiences with it, and what it means to be a woman, and I felt like I could relate this to how I feel about as a girl(a genderfluid one, for that matter) in today’s world, but also at home. This piece reflects on what my status is as a girl and my struggles with gender identity as someone on the nonbinary spectrum.
These pieces don’t have a specific order to them, but its supposed to reflect the sense of questioning and uncertainty of my worth “as a girl” over time.
I used photography, words, and digital art skills in this project. I used Clip Studio Paint, one of the backgrounds of this piece was something I made in Photoshop.
