Sweethearts is a project following Mochamo, a shy highschooler who works at her mom’s bakery and loves science, making what appears to be her first, real, genuine friendship. Once she finds out the truth about the person who befriended her, things turn sour quickly.
Mochamo
A shy, introverted baker who loves biology, chemistry, and experimenting. Rumor has it that she’s experimented with her teeth, after they’ve been broken out several times. She’s susceptible to getting bullied and pushed around at school and at work, or.. home. Her bullies love hitting up her mother’s bakery whenever they can, not just to bug Mocha, but also to get some killer treats. Even though Mocha’s mom can embarass her at times, or maybe not understand the severity of her daughter’s issues, she loves her very much.
When she falls for Funfetti, she falls hard. The thought of not being seen as a sugar infested, introverted freak by someone and getting treated like a human means a lot to her, even if it came at the cost of her sanity.
Funfetti
Funfetti was once Mochamo’s friend, her enemy, and now, her bestest friend. She’s the result of her own actions.
Out of anger for ripping her heart out, Mochamo decided to use Funfetti as her new Guinea pig, rather than herself. I mean, why hurt herself more when she has someone she can take it out on? Her blood vessels run with candy dyes like blue lake and red 40, and her intestines are filled with juicy, sugary goodness.
She can also be seen bearing a pink, candlewax skull. Some say that the candles inside her head are remnants of it, as it’s said to be made using the lost-wax casting technique.
